ADULT EDUCATION - WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Participants receive ongoing support and guidance through each step of the college experience, including an ongoing relationship between students and counselors, workshops on financial aid, academic success, career readiness and more. Intended for students with demonstrated barriers to college access, including veterans, single parents, lower-wage workers, work-eligible immigrants and unemployed and underemployed individuals so they can secure a better job. Job placement and follow-on counseling provided for up to 3 years. Special services for veterans and students seeking certificates in the fields of Information Technology and Early Childhood Development.

Organization Description:
Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) provides affordable, job-oriented education to a diverse student body through many comprehensive academic programs and services. Emphasis on workforce development, support for low-income and minority students, adult learners experiencing career changes and young students starting their college career with the intent of transferring to a 4-year institution. NOVA is a member of VCCS which expedites NVCC transfers to most Virginia state universities.
